From Tezze sul Brenta, province of Vicenza.
I build sites and run campaigns for local businesses. I work alone: the person answering on WhatsApp is me, the person writing the text is me, the person publishing the site is me. There is no account manager in between and no office to pass the file to.
I work in Italian, English, French and Arabic. That is not a line on a CV: it means I can build the site of a company in the Veneto and the site of an Arabic-speaking business with the same care, and that neither version is a machine translation of the other.
I travel around the province of Vicenza and the Veneto, and work remotely for everywhere else. Half the jobs I have done were remote, and it makes no difference to the result.
Why on subscription.
A site paid for once ages the next day: nobody updates it, the domain lapses, the hosting renews itself at a price you no longer remember. The subscription holds together the things that otherwise get lost — domain, mail, security, changes — and it forces me to stay responsible for the result instead of disappearing at delivery.
